NetApp: Show failed disks

If you have a filer with more than a shelf or two, you will naturally have more failed disks.  Sometimes, you may have more than one disk fail.

Either way, if you have hundreds of disks - you don't want to do a disk show and look through a list of hundreds of disks.

This non-intuitive command (vol - really?  Why vol?  Shouldn't it be aggr?)  will show you a list of failed or broken disks:

vol status -f

Broken disks

RAID Disk       Device          HA  SHELF BAY CHAN Pool Type  RPM
---------       ------          ------------- ---- ---- ---- -----
failed          5a.14.3         5a    14  3   SA:A   0   SAS 15000
failed          5a.14.20        5a    14  20  SA:A   0   SAS 15000
